The first Askari 65 Power Long-range Cruiser has officially launched, marking a proud and significant milestone for the entire Askari Yachts team.

The launch journey began on a cold, misty morning as the 20-metre yacht was loaded at the Askari Yachts factory in Cape Town. From there, she travelled to the Port of Cape Town, where she was carefully lowered into the water before making her way towards the V&A Waterfront. As the mist lifted and the Cape Town sunshine emerged, the Askari 65 began the next chapter of her journey.

Designed by the award-winning Du Toit Yacht Design and expertly built in marine-grade aluminium by Askari Yachts, the Askari 65 combines long-range capability with refined contemporary living, practical serviceability and extensive customisation.

Created for serious offshore exploration, she offers a comfortable cruising speed of 10 knots and full standing headroom throughout — including in the engine room. Her flexible accommodation options and carefully integrated systems make her equally suited to extended owner-operated cruising or voyages supported by dedicated crew.

Following her launch, the Askari 65 will undergo an extensive commissioning and sea-trial programme before departing for the United States. She is scheduled to be presented at the 2026 Annapolis Powerboat Show, taking place at City Dock in Annapolis, Maryland, from 8 to 11 October 2026.
